19th century village house restored from a run down building to a charming home with rustic vibes blending the past and present.

The challenge was to reincarnate the house by raising it to modern standards while preserving its authenticiy and its essence.

After a major overhaul, the original features have been salvaged and incorporated mixing the old traditional elements with a contemporary flair.

The house spans on 85m2 of (net) interior living area completed with a sun-terrace covered with traditional tiles, a sheltered outdoor sitting with small landscaped garden and an intimate courtyard with the original and carefully rehabilitated bread oven.

The interiors encompass an ample lobby adorned with handcrafted Greek ceramic tiles, a lounge with the original fireplace, fitted kitchen with old marble sink, a casual sitting area with the original alcoves, one main bathroom with polished concrete board and hand-made mirror, an independent storage room.

The old stables are now bedrooms, one with view to the garden and the second one with door to the outdoor area.

The restoration has been a labour of love, carried out with care for the tradition and attention to the materials and the finishes.
