It can be reached from Athens by plane (40 mn) or by ferry-boat (approx. 13 h). There are also international charter flights during the summer season. Hydrofoils and ferry-boats connect Kos to the neighboring islands (Rhodos, Kalymnos, Symi, Nissyros etc.)
